Valerie Jaimes

Valerie Jaimes is the Executive Director at the Chicano Park Museum and Cultural Center (CPMCC), where she contributed to the grand opening of the CPMCC and the curation of the premiere exhibition. She drives the CPMCC’s mission to educate and empower our communities through a labor of love rooted in art, history, and science. Valerie is a Chicana community organizer and a photographer from Santa Barbara with a passion for community care. First in her family to graduate, she received her B.A. in Sociology and Ethnic Studies from the University of San Diego in 2021. Healing through art, history, and preservation, Valerie aims to continue her work in documenting and uplifting her community.
