The Fleet Science Center offers free admission for furloughed federal employees
On Saturday, January 12, and Sunday, January 13, federal employees affected by government shutdown can enjoy the Fleet Science Center for free.
San Diego, CA-Federal employees and contractors affected by the government shutdown can enjoy free admission to the Fleet Science Center in Balboa Park this weekend.
To receive free admission, furloughed employees and contractors must show a valid federal ID or badge at the Fleet's ticket counter. The free admission offer includes entrance to all of the Fleet's interactive exhibit galleries and the choice of one IMAX® film in the Heikoff Giant Dome Theater. Available films are: Volcanoes, Great Barrier Reef and Pandas. Exhibitions include Kid City, It's Electric, Studio X, Discover Exoplanets and many more. Federal employees and contractors can bring up to three guests to take advantage of this offer.
Free entry for furloughed employees to the Fleet Science Center is valid Saturday and Sunday, January 12 and 13, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Other local museums offering free admission include the Museum of Photographic Arts, the San Diego Museum of Art, the San Diego Natural History Museum and the New Children's Museum.
