Tinkering at the Mini Maker Faire

Testing a contraption in the wind tube

San Diego Mini Maker Faire is a one-day, family-friendly event that celebrates arts, crafts, engineering, food, music, science and technology projects and the Do-It-Yourself (DIY) mindset. It’s for creative, resourceful people who like to tinker and love to make things. We call them Makers. Come see the Fleet at the Faire, where we'll be presenting the Tinkering Studio. The Tinkering Studio is one of the Fleet's most popular exhibitions, and we're taking a corner of it on the road to showcase it at the Faire. We're bringing our wind tube and fun bits of paper, plastic and other materials that you can use to create sculptures and contraptions. Then test them out in our wind tube and experiment with drag and aerodynamics.

In addition to fun with the Fleet Tinkering Studio, you'll be able to try out loads of other hands-on activities from the many other exhibitors at the Faire, check out unique applications of technology, listen to intriguing speakers and enjoy entertainment.

If you're not coming to December Nights, head to Del Mar on Saturday, December 7, for the San Diego Mini Maker Faire!
